We were engaged in an executive search assignment by a semi government entity in the UAE under direct control of the Royal family within the UAE for the purpose of market mapping, screening, interviewing and delivering a short list of candidates for all roles for their Real Estate division.
The goal of their organisation was to re-launch a number of major real estate projects in the Emirate while at the same time develop, and deliver new multi-billion dollar projects related to the residential, commercial, hospitality and industrial markets. The Sheikh has a vision to develop the emirate and establish itself as a global tourism destination, and to entice global multinational companies to the area. This will involve the upgrade of the emirates current infrastructure in expanding the airport, upgrade of Sea Port areas, building new ring roads, over passes and approach roads, establish new commercial zones and the development of new residential and hospitality resorts. The initial project is an AED 7 billion development of a prestigious mixed use development project. There was an urgent need for 18 qualified short lists to be delivered within a period of 45 days.
This search methodology comprised of meeting with the shareholders of the business, taking a complete brief of their requirements and gaining an understanding of both the individual projects and motivations behind the recruitment plan as well as the key success factors of the potential applicants.
Cooper Fitch then compiled a fully detailed, 6 page job specification and presented this to the customer for approval. Once the job descriptions were approved, an anchor salary for the positions was agreed and following the initial down payment, our search began.
