The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has defined their vision and is aiming to fulfill it by the year 2030.  The vision was built on three pillars that draw on KSA’s intrinsic strengths and these pillars include making Saudi Arabia the heart of the Arab and Islamic Worlds, an investment powerhouse and a hub that connects three continents. The vision is based on key themes which include a vibrant society, a thriving economy and an ambitious nation.  These set of laudable goals will help the country diversify its economy and rescue it from oil and gas dependence. In order to fulfill these visions, strategic Vision Realisation Programs have been put in place as part of the long-term plan.

As a part of allowing their nation to fulfill their dreams and ambitions, The Saudisation Program aims to decrease unemployment among Saudis and increase the number of women in the labour market. The market has increased in capabilities and talents in terms of Saudi nationals.  As a specialised recruitment and consulting agency, we aim to fully support Saudi Arabia in terms of reaching their endeavours and helping them fulfill the ambitions of their nation. The Kingdom is aiming to create job opportunities for Saudi nationals across different fields and this is where our services are needed most.

In order to move away from its heavy dependence on oil, the Kingdom is also trying to strengthen the partnerships between the public and private sector which will attract investors to access parts of the market that were not available before. Since the flagship of Vision 2030, enriching both the public and private sectors with competent Saudi nationals has been the aim. The market is not only limiting itself to nationals but is also open to conjuring subject matter experts from all parts of the world. With its increasingly diversifying economy, there is a combination of both local talents and expatriates. According to the latest Saudi Labor Market report, the number of foreigners in the Saudi labour market has declined since the start of 2017. Saudi Arabia is currently investing in empowering the Saudi youth by providing them job opportunities and better employment rates. The report also added that a new wave of jobs has been introduced by enforcing Saudi employment in twelve different retail sectors.

We have been assigned a number of mandates for the public and private sector including consulting firms. Our constant presence in Saudi allows us to understand the changes that are happening in the market, the dynamics of the current job landscape and the ways we can offer support. Cooper Fitch led the successful search and appointment of the first appointed female Saudi national partner in a Big 4 firm in the Kingdom. This allows us to play a key role in diversity and inclusion in the workforce within the firm with clear objectives and support by the partnership group.  Diversification and inclusion is a great part of Saudi’s Vision 2030 as many organisations have diversity targets to fulfill. For instance, one of our clients is looking to increase their female ratio up to 15 percent. We expect to see these numbers to keep on increasing as we get to the year 2030.

While there is still a need for diversification, the Saudi market is looking forward to decreasing their reliance on expatriate workers. The talent pipeline in Saudi Arabia is growing as more Saudi nationals who are studying abroad are coming back to their homeland to support the economy and workforce in their country.  Our recruitment strategy is aligned with Saudi’s Vision 2030 and this will allow us to fully support and advise both the public and private sector entities in the Kingdom
